As the managing director of an emerging biotechnology company, Konstantine Stowolosow has a keen eye for success and staying ahead of the curve. He realized early on that the ideal way for any startup to get to the top of the leaderboard was to spur an industry-wide revolution.

Since its inception, PVP Labs has been an agile and innovative startup, searching for the right recipe to transform the biotechnology space. They have successfully isolated a molecule capable of managing pain—the key ingredient that led to the development of its flagship product, Taphalgin.

A value-added alternative to morphine and other widely used drugs, Taphalgin is an efficient, non-narcotic, with a combined mechanism of action, a non-habit-forming analgesic that does not cause any side effects, like those associated with morphine or opioids. This new peptide-based drug has successfully gone through the phase 3 clinical trial, showing its strong and sustainable pain relief capabilities for a range of therapeutics while maintaining stability when stored for long periods.

“Our one-of-its-kind drug completely eliminates pain while allowing patients to remain conscious and functioning as if they were not injected with any analgesic,” says Stowolosow, managing director of PVP Labs.

With this unique innovation, PVP Labs is ideally positioned to address the pain management needs of patients with malignant diseases, including cancer. Taphalgin has the efficacy to manage acute and chronic pain in the cancer population that can occur at any stage of the disease—be it during and after curative treatment, or in advanced stages of the disease. This prescription-only drug is instrumental for pain management for trauma and post-surgery.

Continuing its innovation streak, PVP Labs has developed two other spectacular drugs that are proven game changers in multiple healthcare markets. One of them is a biopharmaceutical called Arvidal that prevents and treats ARVI, i.e. Acute Respiratory Viral Infections, such as H1N1 and SARS. Based on one of the synthetic derivatives of an endogenous peptide of the enkephalin family with regulatory capabilities, Arvidal was found ideal to cure infections caused by the novel coronavirus. Arvidal’s direct antiviral effect and the ability to stimulate factors of local and systemic immunological protection, when administered as a spray through the nose and mouth, make it a key player in combating the emergence of new and recurring infections, without any side effects.

PVP Labs’ unrivaled capabilities in innovative drug development extend to skin care with its new Dalardenol drug, which is proven to be the best for treating wounds and burns. Users can apply this peptide-based burn treatment and wound healing spray to the affected area. It acts on various mechanisms that contribute to the healing of wounds of various etiologies. It has shown extreme efficacy in providing pain relief, reducing inflammation, shielding skin lesions from microorganisms, stimulating skin cell metabolism, and ensuring scar-free wound healing.

Being a self-funded, bootstrapped startup with three innovative drugs in its arsenal, PVP Labs is now focusing on taking its products to the market.
