Waste4Change offers a holistic waste management platform that helps to reduce the amount of waste that piles up in Indonesia’s landfills.
FREMONT, CA: PT Barito Mitra Investama and AC Ventures, who jointly led Waste4Change's USD 5 million Series A fundraising round, have announced its conclusion. Basra Corporation, Paloma Capital, PT Delapan Satu Investa, Living Lab Ventures, SMDV, and Urban Gateway Fund were also participating.
The waste management firm will use the funding to broaden its customer base and boost trash management capacity by up to 100 tonnes per day. Over the following five years, it also hopes to produce more than 2,000 tonnes daily. The proposal from Waste4Change also calls for automating material recovery facilities and incorporating more digital technologies into the monitoring and recording the waste management flow. The country's informal solid waste sector, which is now supported by scavengers, waste banks, garbage stalls, and waste aggregators, would also benefit from stronger relationships due to this initiative.
