Vineti raises $33.5 million in Series B round of financing,
FREMONT, CA: The leading software automation and analytics platform for cell and gene therapies, Vineti, closed its Series B round of financing round after raising investments worth $33.5 million. The funds raised will support the expansion of the company's technology platform for individual therapies. The financing round was led by the venture capitalists Canaan and DFJ, with participation from GE Ventures, Section 32, Lifeforce Capital, and Casdin Capital, along with many other undisclosed investors.
The additional capital will be put to use during the advances in the first cloud-based "platform of record" that is specifically designed to move transformative new personalized therapies such as CAR-T cell therapy into the mainstream medicine. The funding will also support the company's expansion in Europe and Asia-Pacific, depending on the global solution for a critical personalized medicine barrier.

Vineti's cloud-based software platform is configurable, improves cell and gene therapy product performance, encourages regulatory compliance, and enables faster, safer, broader access for the patients. The platform will also automate, orchestrate, and simplify the complicated workflows behind personalized therapies, and helps the pharmaceutical partners address emerging opportunities and challenges as the pace of the solutions towards the mainstream medicine. Nina Kjellson, General Partner at Canaan, and Michael Pellini, M.D., Managing Partner at Section 32 and Chairman of Foundation Medicine, Inc., are all set to join Vineti's Board of Directors. The entire board of founders and investors in Vineti will continue their support and participate in the growth of the company, including Mayo Clinic Ventures, and also collaborate with newer healthcare providers to drive even more solutions that will simplify much more for patients, and therapeutic innovators.
