Singapore has the highest-ranked startup ecosystem in the Asia Pacific. But China, which was previously the continent’s best, slipped to third.
FREMONT, CA: Singapore is currently the top-ranked startup ecosystem in the Asia Pacific. China, which was formerly the top country on the continent, fell to third. India and Japan took the fourth and fifth rankings, respectively, as Australia rose to second place.
Singapore's success was attributed to fintech, which is referred to as the overperforming industry in the island nation. Singapore came in at number 10 globally for the industry, but it was rated in the top 30 globally for tech, e-commerce, and retail.

The research stated that while Singapore's public sector is very supportive of the startup ecosystem, the nation should be careful not to turn this support into a dependency. It supports the idea that the nation should concentrate on attracting talent and maintaining competitiveness.
Beijing and Shanghai are the two most populated cities in the area, followed by Bangalore, New Delhi, and the Tokyo-Yokohama area. But among the top 10, China's performance as a nation saw the worst decline. According to the research, some of its difficulties include a dearth of businesses with a local focus and friction between creators and the government.
Later, China was the only nation besides the US that could directly compete for leadership in the world of entrepreneurship. China should target the worldwide market to achieve this, and this can be done by joining the global internet and encouraging Chinese businesses to succeed.
Meanwhile, Indonesia maintained its upward trend for the third year in a row and cracked the top 40 globally the following year. The second-highest city in Southeast Asia for startups was Jakarta.
