FREMONT, CA: Santa Cruz Tools, a global pioneer in cross-media content publishing software, unveiled a freemium version of LinkrUI, a 300 dollars annual value that significantly improves design team workflows and ensures version control.
LinkrUI is a best-in-class Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign extension that allows for direct searching, opening, putting and synchronizing materials stored in a Digital Asset Manager (DAM) system or other cloud storage services like Box and Dropbox.

LinkrUI is now available for free from Santa Cruz Software, with guaranteed version control. LinkrUI is a 300 dollars value that automatically synchronizes content with Adobe Creative Cloud applications within the DAM or storage service so that everyone in the business can find and work on the latest up-to-date version. Furthermore, as a Premium feature, team members will be notified the next time the host asset opened if an embedded asset is changed in any of the Adobe applications and updated in the DAM or storage system.
LinkrUI makes it easier for designers to maintain asset versions and improve their productivity. Integrating the DAM interface into their favorite Adobe apps eliminates the need for designers and creatives to deal with version control. It also offers a one-of-a-kind client-side license management interface that allows you to manage all of your users.
Working from home might have made asset management more complex: a study commissioned by Santa Cruz Software surveyed over 500 design professionals to understand their experiences better. Eighty-three percent of respondents said they have to spend time finding a lost asset over a week, up from 74 percent in 2020. 11percent of people do it every hour. The productivity losses can be significant in some circumstances. Approximately half of the designers spend roughly 3 hours per week managing versions, with 15percent spending more than 6 hours per week. LinkrUI overcomes this problem by syncing the total assets with the DAM seamlessly.
"LinkrUI creates a more profitable and productive workflow within companies by managing creative asset versions, resulting in multi-media professionals having access to files within Adobe apps," said Mark Hilton, CEO of Santa Cruz Software. "We are so excited about the value of our premium features that we've decided to offer the standard version of LinkrUI for free. The premium features we've added: Cross application asset linking (between Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and support for Adobe Premiere and After Effects and the premium features in the pipeline (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint support, Slack integration, and complex Metadata searching and input) will enable creatives to be significantly more efficient with their work, benefiting everyone involved."
