An innovative direct lending platform provides critical assistance to businesses in the face of rising interest rates and market uncertainty
FREMONT, CA: "Our objective is not to solely rely on software for risk modeling, but instead use it to enhance human-based underwriting and deliver high-quality debt solutions at scale to experienced operators as they navigate an increasingly difficult economic landscape," said Sklover, Chief Executive Officer of Quiq. "In exchange, we are able to produce stable current income and attractive, risk-adjusted returns relative to comparable debt instruments without mark-to-market volatility for our private credit-focused investors," added Tiwari, Chief Investment Officer of Quiq.
A new investment manager and direct lender for customized company finance, QUIQ CAPITAL, has recently been established and accepted applications around the country. The company's objective is to offer founders and operators accretive funding with a focus on EBITDA development and value generation. Quiq offers a wide range of finance products to quickly growing enterprises in high-growth industries without being restricted to any industry. Loan durations span from 12 to 60 months, ranging from $500,000 to $10 million.
Quiq's credit underwriting and investment strategy are led by founding members Andrew Sklover and Vivek Tiwari, former leaders of commercial mortgage-backed securities ("CMBS") at DoubleLine and D. E. Shaw. They feel that traditional lenders frequently overlook these loan amounts and durations.
Quiq, which has been in development since 2018 and has its sights set on capital preservation, is now deploying funds through its underwriting platform while raising money for several different investment vehicles. David Hartmann, a founding member with more than 11 years of experience operating and financing early and growth-stage firms, is in charge of the company's operations and investor relations. The company's credit and investments team is made up of founding members Andrew Sklover, Vivek Tiwari, and Matthew Mendonca. The three members have over 30 years of combined institutional asset management experience. Executives from the financial services industry and seasoned investors make up the company's advisory board.
