A euro Asian firm, PatSnap, offers R&D platform, patent and services, has successfully raised $38 million in Series D funding round driven by Shunwei Capital and Sequoia, the investment organisation established by co-founder and CEO LEI Jun of Xiaomi. Southeast Asia's Qualgro likewise participated.
Each of the three supported the organization in 2016 when it drove an undisclosed Series C round. While PatSnap didn't give a figure for that past round, it is stating this time around that it has raised over $100 million to date. Doing some quick math, Series C was something around $50 million.

PatSnap was established in 2007 and it is based out of the UK and Singapore, with areas in China and the U.S... The organization began as basically a registry for IP, helping organizations — and especially ventures — pulls in information for R&D and item advancement purposes.
The organization claims 8,000 clients around the world, with the U.S. its biggest market for income. PatSnap said that in China, its second-biggest market and a noteworthy concentration for the firm, it said it has in excess of 4,500 clients. , it is also centered around going past a data repository to offer services for enterprises that help effectively manage internal product development and other R&D initiatives.
