Fremont, CA: Fintech was always a big player in the financial sector for some decades, and it's getting increasingly difficult to ignore its impact. Fintech does not live in a vacuum; there is a strong relationship between it and other industries. It's difficult to anticipate exactly how things will turn out in the future, but one thing is apparent: the connection between fintech and healthcare is becoming hard to overlook.
"The future at Osso VR is incredibly bright. Each step of the way, we've stayed true to our mission to democratize healthcare and seen the results that our platform brings to surgical training and assessment," said Justin Barad, MD, CEO and Co-Founder of Osso VR. "This round of investment supports the next step of our journey to provide access to all healthcare professionals. I couldn't be more excited to take this next step with such a talented, passionate team."

Osso VR, a proven virtual reality (VR) surgical teaching and assessment platform, raised a 66 million dollar Series C investment round headed by Oak HC/FT. Signalfire, GSR Ventures, Tiger Global Management, and Kaiser Permanente Ventures participated in the round.
Osso VR creates on-demand, immersive programs that enable surgical teams to train individually or cooperatively in a virtual environment before entering a real operating room. Osso VR is being used by medical equipment businesses to digitally introduce technology, overcoming many of the issues of traditional educational paths, such as clashing physician schedules, distant personnel, and costly travel. With Osso VR, more surgeons may practice employing complicated medical technology to provide their patients with access to the finest operations with the best outcomes more quickly.
Osso VR presently collaborates with world-class medical equipment firms like Johnson & Johnson, Stryker, Zimmer Biomet, and Smith & Nephew. Orthopedics, spine, interventional cardiology, and minor surgery are just a few of the specialist areas covered by the company's modules.
The financing announcement follows Osso VR's recent receipt of the renowned SXSW Innovation Award for VR, AR, and MR. This week, the business is exhibiting at the AAOS 2022 Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
