FREMONT, CA: Linq, a networking tech startup, has declared the successful completion of a $2.5 million seed round fundraise led by Mucker Capital. The investment will primarily be utilized to expand the Linq team, meet rapidly increasing demand over the last year, and introduce new items to the Linq range.

The pandemic accelerated demand for smart, contactless engagement capabilities like ours, and we don't see that ever going away."

Linq is a networking platform that uses QR codes and "near field communication" (NFC) technology to allow users to share information with others via fully customizable websites. Linq's current offerings include electronic business cards, hubs, taps, and wearables such as Apple Watch bracelets and bands.
Linq's other co-founders, Jared Mattsson and Patrick Sullivan, who served as COO and CTO, respectively, co-founded the company with Potter following successful stints at the supermarket delivery behemoth Shipt.
The seed round was led by Mucker Capital, with participation from the Alabama Futures Fund and Shipt founder Bill Smith. Mucker invests in high-growth firms outside of Silicon Valley with offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, and Austin.
