Solange Glaize and Melissa McLaughlin are the newest members of the LUMICKS Board of Directors, each providing unique expertise that will assist pave the path for future corporate success.
FREMONT, CA: LUMICKS, a renowned life science tools company that develops equipment for Dynamic Single-Molecule and Cell Avidity analysis, two rapidly emerging areas in biology research and immuno-oncology, appointments two key members to its Board of Directors, bringing a combined 40 years of executive-level experience in the human resources and finance. Solange Glaize and Melissa McLaughlin are the newest members of the LUMICKS Board of Directors, each providing unique expertise that will assist pave the path for future corporate success. McLaughlin was appointed on May 1, 2021, while Glaize was appointed on September 1, 2021, replacing Board retiree Erik Walldén.
McLaughlin is a human resources powerhouse, having helped develop the successful biotech business Agios and directing its human resources operations since January 2015. Before that, she oversaw HR strategy for Expedia, the world's largest online travel firm, in 39 countries. She has also held executive-level HR positions with Johnson & Johnson and The Gillette Company, and she presently consults on HR strategy for Google Ventures businesses. In addition, McLaughlin will guide the LUMICKS management team on team scaling, organizational design, cultural change throughout a growth phase, and compensation and benefits policies and philosophy.

Glaize is a strategic financial leader who has created and managed business organizations for Fortune 500 and start-up firms in multicultural, worldwide environments. Glaize was the CFO of the start-up Twist Bioscience Corporation. Glaize formerly worked at Agilent Technologies, a major provider of life science equipment, as vice president, corporate controller, and Chief Accounting Officer. Glaize is an Olink Board Member and the Chair of the Audit Committee (Nasdaq: OLK).
