Bright Health, a Minnesota-based healthcare startup company collected a Series D funding of $63M. NEA led the round and the Bright Health will use the newly raised fund to offer health insurance plans directly to customers
Fremont, CA: Bright Health, a healthcare startup company closed $635 million Series D funding round to fuel its overall growth. The company has also started the hiring process to strategically widen its base across various products, geographies, and consumer bases. The company, in its previous funding rounds, raised $200M (Series C), $160M (Series B), and $80M (Series A).
NEA led the latest round of funding, with participants from Bessemer Venture Partners, Cross Creek Advisors, Declaration Partners, Flare Capital Partners, Greenspring Associates, Meritech Capital, Redpoint Ventures and Town Hall Ventures. It brought the total raised amount to over a billion dollars in equity financing. Bright Health was founded in 2015 by Kyle Rolfing, Robert John Sheehy, and Tom Valdivia to provide health insurance plans directly to the consumers through broker-partners.
