Entrepreneurs Eric and Ethan Parker created Giddy in 2021. Their non-custodial DeFi platform makes it simple to invest in and stake DeFi currency.
Fremont, CA: Giddy, a mobile app that makes DeFi adoption more widespread, has raised $8 million in preliminary round of funding. Divvy founder and CEO Blake Murray, Galileo CEO Derek White, Traeger CEO Jeremy Andrus, angel investor Scott Paul, Brand Whisperer Shaun Neff, and real estate magnate and owner of Skinwalker Ranch Brandon Fugal are among the investors in the round.
"It's difficult to emphasise the calibre of our forward-thinking and imaginative investor group," says Giddy CEO Eric Parker. "We've got some of the top product and tech minds in the state, and we couldn't be happier to have their help in shaping the future of DeFi adoption."

The seed round comes as Giddy prepares to launch its platform, which will provide DeFi customers the first-ever one-tap staking. Their ground-breaking solution was created to bring DeFi to the average bitcoin user, regardless of technical knowledge or wallet size.
"Private key management, rapid and cheap fiat transfers, streamlined smart contract interactions, and access to extensive data and analytics are all features of our platform. DeFi today is genuinely remarkable; it's the culmination of the efforts of innovators and doers all around the world, but it's out of reach for the majority of people "Parker explains. "We want everyone to be able to profit from DeFi, therefore we're completely redesigning how people do DeFi."
Giddy aims to democratize the most advanced wealth-building tactics in crypto, generally dominated by high-net-worth individuals. The ramifications of a proper retail DeFi solution are significant. The existing system has conditioned users to expect returns ranging from 0.1% to 8%, with crypto custodians earning 50-100 percent or more by investing their customers' funds. Giddy is flipping that paradigm on its head, allowing users to completely control their crypto and put it to work while also simplifying an intimidating process that most token holders are unfamiliar with or lack time to complete, all while charging only a small service fee.
Giddy simplifies DeFi by making it a one-tap investment.
Financier Eric Varvel, Canopy CEO Davis Bell, Scan founder Kirk Ouimet, Chamber Media founder Travis Chambers, Sepio Capital, Jeff Burningham of Peak Capital, Jared Hutchings of Peer VC, FiberFix founder Eric Child, and KT Tape creator Reed Quinn are among the other investors in the round.
