It's provided via employers, and to date has helped mother and father at organizations inclusive of Slack, Reddit, Box, and Pinterest.
Cleo users can join virtually with professionals in regions such as birth preparation and sleep; they can also schedule at-home visits, according to Forbes. The co-founders are Shannon Spanhake and Chitra Akileswaran, who's a practicing OB/GYN.
Cleo is designed to benefit each parent and their employers
Guo stated that services like lactation experts, doulas, and career coaches are typically constrained to high earners. "The core mission of the company [Cleo] is to democratize access to these kinds of services because we don't think that they should be a luxury. "
"It boggles my thoughts as a parent that the whole international has gone through this," Guo stated of the parenting experience, "however all of this institutional expertise isn't transferred an, in reality, handy way. It's miles similar to random facts and blogs on the internet. There may be a few outstanding content available, but who can tell."
And while one may expect Cleo caters to new moms, Guo said that almost 50% of the app's users are men. Forbes stated that Box started out providing cleo to its team of workers in March 2018. To this point, 61 employees have enrolled, 40% of which are men.
