FREMONT, CA: Deliverr acquires $40 million investments from its Series C funding round by the firm Activant Capital. The company has made substantial progress by assisting eCommerce companies in achieving a two-day shipping guarantee. The other prominent investors in the Series C round include 8VC, GLP, and Flexport founder and CEO Ryan Peterson. The total funding raised by the company to date accounts to a total of $70 million.
“What we enable a merchant to do is offer free two-day delivery anywhere they sell, whether it’s Walmart, eBay, even Amazon, because we integrate into Prime or their own website,” said Deliverr CEO and co-founder Michael Krakaris.

Deliverr has also launched a program for merchants who want to fulfill next-day delivery recently. They have also forged relationships with a network of warehouses around the country, and most of it is just unused places. Depending on how the markets behave, Deliverr moves the goods to different parts of the country, stores them in the warehouse spaces available, and uses the warehouse’s picking systems to grab the products.
The primary task is that they integrate into the warehouse’s management system software, so that the orders placed through their system will autonomously integrate with the warehouse’s system, gets picked, processed, and put on a truck for delivery fulfillment. This system is the fastest, cheapest way to deliver goods on time to the customers.
Deliverr’s method includes two algorithms, which is one for in-bound and another for the outbound products. “Inbound is when a merchant is getting started sending inventory into the Deliverr network. And so we’re doing a few things. If it’s a repeat item, we already have a demand graph for that item, so we’re just optimizing that existing demand,” Michael Krakaris explained. He also points out that certain items tend to be sold consistently throughout the year, but nobody wants to put on a warm jacket in Florida and California.
The other section is the outbound algorithm; it figures out the fastest and the cheapest way to deliver that item. The company has networked with a wide range of national and regional carriers, who cross-check the inventory and location to figure out the optimal choice. Factors like price and the ability to fulfill the order within the delivery window is also considered. Deliverr is said to have a success rate of over 95 percent, which is near the top of the industry.
