FREMONT, CA: Covetrus, a renowned animal-health technology and service provider, announces the three additions to its senior leadership team, including a global chief financial officer, president of North American distribution business, and global chief information officer. These new hires will add depth to the team, and as they bring with them an extensive experience to their roles to extend the position of Covetrus for continued growth.

The new members who joined Covetrus’s senior leadership team include:
Steve Palmucci joined Covetrus on May 4, 2020 as global chief information officer, replacing Larry Rowland, who had been serving as a consultant and interim CIO since 2018. Palmucci has a track record of helping insurance, pharmaceutical, media, entertainment and technology organizations meet evolving business and customer demands. Palmucci has worked for both public and private companies of varying sizes including SunGard, Chubb Insurance and TiVo.
Matthew Foulston will become Covetrus’ global chief financial officer, replacing Stuart Gleichenhaus, who served as an interim CFO since 2019. Foulston adds considerable depth and a wide array of experience from the roles he fulfilled in global distribution and manufacturing-based companies. Until now, Foulston has worked in a plethora of roles in technical, strategic, and operational finance capacities. Most recently, he was the CFO for Treehouse Foods and Compass Minerals, of which both are publicly traded companies. Foulston worked his earlier part in the automotive industry at Ford, Mazda, and Navistar.
Matthew Malenfant is the new president for Covetrus’ North American distribution business. Malenfant is a proficient leader with experience in the life science, healthcare and packaging industries, and an expert professional in distribution and supply chain businesses. The majority of Malenfant’s career has been in the healthcare sector, including VWR International, where he fulfilled roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, and operations, culminating as president of the Americas, and DWK Life Sciences, where he was chairman of the Supervisory Board. Recently, Malenfant fulfilled the role of CEO of Saxco International, a leader in the packaging sector for beverage products.
