Coder closes a $30 million investment from its Series B funding round led by current investor GGV Capital
Fremont, CA: Coder closed a $30 million Series B funding round led by its current investor GGV Capital along with the participation of Redpoint Ventures, In-Q-tel, and Uncork Capital. The latest round of financing followed $8.54 million Series A round led by Redpoint Ventures, adding to total funding of $43 million to date. As a part of the deal, GGV Capital Managing Partner Glenn Solomon will become one of the Board of Directors at Coder. The latest input of finances will be utilized to support an aggressive hiring strategy, drive product innovation and maximize global growth.
Ammar Badukwala, Kyle Carberry, and John Andrew Entwistle founded Coder with a simple goal for helping developers write more code. Coder’s enterprise product gained immense traction among customers and investors after moving the development environment to the cloud as it accelerated the development workflows.

At present, Coder provides open-source tools and an enterprise platform that makes it easier than ever for the enterprises of all sizes to secure, configure and scale development environments, it dramatically enhances productivity as well. Untill now, Coder has more than 10 million Docker pulls, 35k GitHub Stars and is utilized by numerous developers and world’s largest organizations.
