Wildfire Energy, an Australian cleantech startup solution based in Brisbane, joins Brinc, a Hong Kong-headquartered venture capital and accelerator.
FREMONT, CA: Wildfire Energy that joined Brinc, a Hong Kong-headquartered venture capital and accelerator, has become the first startup of its kind. An Australian based cleantech startup, Wildfire Energy enables waste to turn into renewable energy by its gasification technology. This startup, which is accepted into the Australia CleanTech Accelerator program, is now a part of Brinc's latest plan to invest in around 1000 climate-conscious startups and more within the next five years. Wildfire Energy is the newest company to join the Brinc cohort of climate-conscious startups as per the January 4th Announcement. Wildfire Energy is a startup's solution that is based in Brisbane and is helping to convert landfill waste into renewable energy and hydrogen. Its cost-effective, proprietary gasification process termed MIHG also produces negative carbon emissions.
The startup's technology which is currently being tested in its pilot plant has shown a contribution of more than five percent of greenhouse gas emissions. As it holds over two billion tonnes of solid waste that is generated worldwide every year, it has presented solutions to one of the most essential global waste and climate crises. Brinc, with the aim to bring the new Australian Cleantech Accelerator to life, partnered in April last year with Artesian, a Sydney-based alternative investment management company, which is now backing up Wildfire Energy to continue scaling up and commercializing its technology. Apart from the AU150000 dollars in funding, Wildfire Energy will also gain access to Brinc and Artesian's network of industry experts, guidance on securing business partnerships, and on raising further capital over the course of the three-month online program.
