Atmosic plans to use the new round of funding to deploy its award-winning M2 and M3 series Bluetooth 5 system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions into marketable products in early 2020
Fremont, CA: Atmosic Technologies, an innovative fabless semiconductor company which innovated ultra-low-power wireless for the Internet of Things (IoT), confirmed the completion of Series B funding, amounting to $28.5 million. The group of investors was led by Sutter Hill Ventures along with investments from Walden International, Clear Ventures, Dolby Family Ventures, and Arden Road Investments. The total amount of funding thus reached $49.5 million since the company's inception in 2016.
Atmosic plans to use the new round of funding to deploy its award-winning M2 and M3 series Bluetooth 5 system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions into marketable products in early 2020. The company will also use the funding to support the continued laser focus on R&D to extend its next-generation solutions, and Atmosic's efforts to emerge as a top supplier of the lowest-power consumption wireless technologies for the IoT.

Driving the battery-free IoT revolution with lowest-power Bluetooth and controlled energy harvesting technologies along with leveraging numerous power sources for energy harvesting, including photovoltaic, RF, mechanical, and thermal is the prime focus of Atmosic. The M2 and M3 solutions of the Atmosic enables longer battery life, and even battery-free operations for IoT enabled devices that are used for a number of applications including smart homes, asset tracking, building automation, medical devices, and wearables.
