We envision a world where paying for healthcare and leveraging insurance benefits is a simple and transparent experience for both patients and providers. With Anagram, patients can go to any provider they want, and providers never have to file paper claims or turn patients away again"
FREMONT, CA: Anagram, a California-based software solution provider that unlocks access to out-of-network benefits for healthcare providers, secured $9.1 million in Series A round of financing. The funding round was led by ManchesterStory, with active participation from KEC Ventures, Waterline Ventures, Healthy Ventures, Synchrony, Launchpad Digital Health, and Rogue Venture Partners. The company has changed its name from Patch to Anagram. The capital will be used to expand its markets and develop its products.
Healthcare providers only accept patients with in-network insurance or force patients with out-of-network insurance to pay for services from their own pockets. As a result, the provider loses a lot of patience. Providers also spend a lot of time communicating with insurance companies filing claims and determining if patients are eligible for certain types of treatments- all of these processes disrupt providers from treating patients effectively. Anagram eliminates that issue by making providers open access, which means the providers will be able to accept all insurance irrespective of network status.

Anagram was founded by Brett Plotzker and Jeremy Bluvol in 2014. The company embarked on a mission to make healthcare easy to pay for. Anagram's software tools allow providers to reclaim control of their practice by deciding which insurance networks they want to be in. It enables providers to pull real-time health insurance benefits from a wide range of networks- this way; they will not have to fuss over patients to ask which insurance they have. Anagram also lets providers set their own rates and discounts to support cash payments. By taking care of insurance administration, Anagram helps independent doctors focus on treating their patients with needed care. Doctor's offices that use Anagram take on average 260 more patients and receive an additional $30,000 annually per location from cash-paying patients.

Anagram is used by numerous providers and patients across all 50 states. The company aims to facilitate the process of healthcare purchasing by providing a single service for managing provider payments and revenue.
