Taylor Yang, CEOAfter three years of developing AI and augmented reality convergence technology, which are key elements of the fourth industrial revolution, Nanoom Energy is ready to launch the world’s first solar platform with AI technology and are currently working on upgrading and commercializing their innovative technologies. “We are a global company that focuses on developing unique convergence technology in the renewable energy sector to help solve global problems that could threaten the survival of humankind,” says Taylor Yang, CEO, Nanoom Energy Co. Ltd.
Through the development of its optimizer (H/W), Nanoom Energy’s smart solar maintenance technology not only increases energy generation efficiency by sensing and controlling individual solar modules but also introduces Augmented Reality (AR) for long-term maintenance. The company currently utilizes machine learning (deep learning) to develop technology that achieves optimal solar power efficiency with 98 percent accuracy and analyzes business feasibility before starting construction of the solar power systems.
“We thoroughly review the results to ensure that the design is carried out and the design plan is followed through to the last stage of construction. We then provide services to maximize power generation efficiency through optimization technology that works together with monitoring systems,”
This technology obtains and analyzes climate data and existing power generation data to ensure optimal power generation at solar panel installation sites. “We are contributing to securing the optimum inclination and horizontal angle for solar installations,” states Mr. Yang. Also, in the case that the output of the solar power system decreases due to the shade or failure in each module unit after installation, Nanoom Energy has developed technology that maximizes the power generation efficiency of the entire system. The system enables this process by minimizing the impact on other modules through machine learning and using optimizers (hardware) technology. This product will be released in the first half of 2021.
Being fully committed to the safety of its workers during construction, Nanoom Energy responds quickly in the event of a typhoon or other natural disasters to prevent various accidents or injuries at the construction site. The company uses an application called Notion to communicate on-site situations in real-time with its customers. For example, in the summer of 2020, there were three powerful, consecutive typhoons in South Korea. As a result, many solar facilities were destroyed due to the powerful rain and winds, but none of the solar facilities built by Nanoom Energy were damaged. This was possible because of the company’s insistence on reliable design, complying with all standards for construction, and meticulous/careful construction.
