However, the path taken in their coveted migration to the cloud can be complex and gruelling. Besides having to choose between a PaaS, SaaS, or IaaS solution for cloud implementation, enterprises need to acquire new in-house expertise and/or partner with reliable service providers. Furthermore, the abundance of attractive solutions in the marketplace leads to an embarrassment of the riches, leaving many companies with more questions than answers. To complicate issues, a lot of these organisations do not have the resources and/or the knowledge to fully utilise the cloud-based solutions, which is tantamount to an unrewarding investment.

Organisations need a consultant working towards their best interests—to build and manage a solution from their unique point of view—and accordingly bring “real added value” to ensure cloud migration and adaption is a resounding success. This is precisely where TEDWAG Partners, a digital services company founded in February 2019, is rapidly making waves in the industry.

Within two years of its existence, TEDWAG Partners is already supporting a host of economic actors in their transformation of digital projects, especially when it requires expertise in cloud computing. Teddy Wagnac, Founder and CEO of TEDWAG Partners, elaborates on the early success of his company. “The cloud solution can be still a specific point for IT decision makers, and they need companies specialised in this area to help them. That’s why in less than two years we have already worked in more than 30 projects for 12 different customers. And we’ve achieved this without any business angels or investors,” he says.

The versatility of TEDWAG Partners has enabled it to work with a diverse set of clients—ranging from utilities companies such as ENGIE and Veolia to banking insurance giants such as Orange Bank, AXA, and Crédit Agricole. TEDWAG Partners has also sunk its teeth into the professional services and medical verticals, working with the likes of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Promotal, respectively. Most recently, TEDWAG Partners served top luxury goods brand Kering.

Despite a pandemic, TEDWAG Partners has grown by leaps and bounds in 2020. This year alone, TEDWAG Partners has three experts working with a Paris-based global conglomerate that specialises in luxury goods, and also implementing a DataLake in AWS for several Chinese entities. Wagnac informs that working with Chinese companies has opened up a whole new world of opportunities for TEDWAG Partners, “This subject is very interesting from a politic point-of-view. We are open to seeing what Alibaba can also propose as well.”

In less than two years, we have already worked in more than 30 projects for 12 different customers. And we’ve achieved this without any business angels or investors

Through these major projects, a young company such as TEDWAG Partners is also quickly grasping the differences and similarities between the two major Cloud solutions—Azure and AWS—from the unique lens of the client. For example, TEDWAG Partners recently architected a big migration for a French company dealing with state-owned rail traffic. To execute proper results, TEDWAG Partners had to split the migration between Azure and AWS.

The Key Driver: Consultants

Similarly, TEDWAG Partners calls upon the expertise of its consultants to lead customers to move into a myriad of cloud solutions, be it Azure by Microsoft, AWS by Amazon, GCP by Google, or on-prem solutions—defined by its expert team of technical solution architects. “We support CAC40 companies’ CIOs and other large groups in their digital transformation projects. Our strengths are concentrated in Project Management and Agile methodology, specialised in Cloud Computing and Data in order to ultimately provide real added value in application development, deployment, and quality processes,” adds Wagnac.

TEDWAG Partners works strictly only with senior consultants and with key decision-makers of “important” companies—a lot of whom serve the Government of France. “To be efficient in serving these kinds of organisations, we needed to propose a modern way to work to be attractive for both our customers and our consultants,” admits Wagnac.

This explains why TEDWAG Partners keeps close tabs on its consultants and contacts them on a weekly basis. Furthermore, it helps the consultants by proposing some training and “to
encourage them to dream bigger for their career” As Wagnac notes, TEDWAG Partners has a desire to empower its employees, so they become leaders in both their professional and personal lives. “We instil a spirit of leadership in the universe consulting and digital service through the strength of the network and partnership for responsible interventions,” stresses Wagnac.
So, what exactly differentiates TEDWAG Partners from its competitors?

Wagnac says it boils down to the fact that the company specialises in a domain that makes it different than other IT consulting companies—who typically propose all kind of consultants. Instead, TEDWAG Partners only deploys its closely-knit team of consultants who are trained, empowered, and sent out to service clients to the best of their abilities. This is particularly critical in the cloud solution space since the entire client organisation typically takes an interest in the digital transformation practices, unlike other software solutions that pique the interest of only specific teams. After all, cloud migration impacts every aspect of an organisation.
Furthermore, when TEDWAG Partners “intervenes” on projects on behalf of its clients, it can exude all its various specialisations—cloud architecture, monitoring, automation, testing and data security. Wagnac adds, “The customers contact us only when they have Cloud and Data issues and we can bring us quality very quickly.”

Equally Proficient with Data Issues

As a company that excels in all aspects of cloud computing, TEDWAG Partners realises the importance of data protection, regardless of how the data is managed—either internally by the company or externally by a third party. TEDWAG Partners often comes across clients—especially in the government sector—that have to secure massive amounts of highly-confidential data, which require additional layers of security and more robust cloud infrastructure.

”The fact that I was a consultant, and not a businessman, helped us to be more credible for our customers and also for the consultants”

Just take the example of a French company that deals with state-owned rail traffic. Before hiring TEDWAG Partners, the agency had a big issue as it pertains to giving its employees data access on the Azure Cloud. Their solution was so muddled that they were not aware as to which employee had the requisite permissions to access the Azure Data Lake. TEDWAG Partners stepped in proposed that the company migrate to a DataRedKite-based solution to manage and access its data on the cloud. “We proposed to develop a solution which can give them all the information on the data in the cloud. We plan to install this solution for more customers to help them with data management in the cloud,” reveals Wagnac.

Like a lot of blossoming startups, TEDWAG Partners has taken the identity of its leader, Wagnac, who has been passionately involved with cloud-based solutions for the last eight years “The fact that I was a consultant, and not a businessman, helped us to be more credible for our customers and also for the consultants,” says Wagnac, while adding that his prior experience as a consultant has helped shape the organisational culture at TEDWAG Partners. He reiterates that “taking good care of our consultants” remains a focal point for the company, before citing the example of a TEDWAG Partners consultant who had a “serious illness” last summer. “I decided to take his place during those two months so he could heal peacefully. Now, he’s come back better than ever and taken back his place,” he adds.

This level of harmony and collective passion is sure to hold TEDWAG Partners in good stead as the company enters its third year. Although most of its customers are currently based in France, the company has ambitious plans of geographical expansion to other parts of Europe and the rest of the world. From a technology standpoint, TEDWAG Partners is incredibly proud of its new solution, DataRedKite, a SaaS-based solution that is very simple to install in the cloud to manage data more effectively and efficiently. Wagnac is confident that TEDWAG Partners will use the solution as an entry point to other markets. “With the success of DataRedKite, we hope to be around the world and in the U.S. by 2022,” he concludes.
