"This is a moment for both the technology and the way our company was built. This coronavirus has ultimately been an accelerator of trends and we think it's really accelerated this process, automation, digitization that drones can bring and how DroneBase is uniquely able to operate," commented Dan Burton.

Fremont, CA: DroneBase, a CA-based aerial data analytics company, raised $7.5 million in Series C round of financing. The round included new investors, Valor Equity Partners and Razi Ventures, who joined Union Square Ventures (USV), Hearst Ventures, Upfront Ventures, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, and DJI. DroneBase has raised total funding of $32 million.

The company has also extended its services to the renewable energy market with its new platform DroneBase Insights for Wind and Solar. It has also founded DroneBase Europe in Germany.

Led by Dan Burton, CEO and Founder, DroneBase is an aerial data analytics company. It offers businesses a platform to leverage a Pilot Network to make better decisions about their most critical assets. Based in Los Angeles, the company has clients from various industries, including renewable energy, insurance, telecommunications, construction, real estate, and media.

"As we have worked more and more renewable energy in North America, often those companies have a European headquarters too," said DroneBase founder and CEO Dan Burton.

Burton said that DroneBase had seen months of record-setting revenue amid an economic recession due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Revenue has increased 20 percent on a month-over-month basis beginning in March, and the company has witnessed 99.8 percent operational uptime for its drones across 10 different countries.

"This is a moment for both the technology and the way our company was built. This coronavirus has ultimately been an accelerator of trends and we think it's really accelerated this process, automation, digitization that drones can bring and how DroneBase is uniquely able to operate," concluded Burton.

They have completed more than 100,000 commercial missions flown in over 70 countries and in all 50 states.
