YatraGenie Sets Foot in the Newly Formed State of Telangana

Bengaluru: YatraGenie, one of India’s leading bus booking and taxi booking platform launches taxi rental services in Telangana state. It is one of the very few government licensed taxi operators in the country and will be launching its services across 10 cities across Telangana. The company plans to expand their areas of operation to 100 new cities by the end of this year.
 
Established in 2013, the company claims to have undertaken more than 30,000 bookings within three months of its launch. It also claims of being the only Taxi service in the country to have the mobile app available in regional languages also. Through this expansion, YatraGenie will create employment opportunity for more than 200 people which will inturn improve the livelihood of about 1000 people across different cities of Telangana.

Speaking about the advancement, Renil Komitla, CEO of YatraGenie says, “Telangana is a very important market for YatraGenie.  We have noticed a rising demand for city cab services not only in bigger cities but also in Tier-II and III-cities. We want to tap both these markets simultaneously. We currently have 100 cabs across ten cities in Telangana. In the coming months we plan to introduce 500 cabs”.

The company’s taxi services will now be available in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Mehabubnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam, Medak, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad and will also setup call center in Hyderabad and Warangal to serve the customer grievances. The taxi fare in these new cities will be Rs.100 for the first six kilometers and Rs.15 per an extra kilometer. The users can avail the services by dialing 2020202 or through YatraGenie’s mobile app or website.

Through this expansion, YatraGenie will have a presence in 32 cities and towns. Apart from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, YatraGenie taxi service is also available in Bangalore.  In the coming months, YatraGenie will be launching services in Mysore, Mandya, Tumkur, Chikkaballapur, Chamrajpet and other towns of Karnataka.
