Tiger Logic, a company that provides software and technical help and specializes in data management too, has recently acquired mobile developer company Storycode, as reported by Kim-Mai-Cutler of Techcrunch. The acquisition was finalized for $7.25 million both in cash and stock. Based in California, Tiger Logic says that it will combine the technology of Storycode into its social visualization platform. Though social visualization is “quite grey” and unclear, it can be customized according to the needs of a client
Founded in 2007, the company Raining Data Corporation was renamed as TigerLogic Corporation. It is a public company that is known for its products such as TigerLogic Postano platform, Pick Data Model TigerLogic Omnis studio.
On the other hand, Storycode is a mobile app company located in Portland. Storycode has developed a mobile publishing platform providing help for various publishers and brands. Media companies such as Thomson Reuters, USA Today, NBC and CBS procure the service of Storycode. This mobile publishing platform sync’s well into the TigerLogic’s product, Postano.
Adding to it, TigerLogic is providing $100,000 as bridge financing to Storycode and it is taking up $150,000 liabilities of the company .Earlier known as FreeRange Communications, Storycode was christened recently after acquiring a Portland based mobile agency.
