Thomas Cook India Acquires Luxe Asia to Strengthen its Presence in Sri Lanka

Bengaluru: Thomas Cook Lanka Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Thomas Cook India Ltd., has acquired Sri Lanka-based destination management company, Luxe Asia. Post this deal, Luxe Asia will operate as a separate entity. The new development will strengthen Thomas Cook India’s business presence in Sri Lanka and also enhances its destination management capabilities across Sri Lanka and the Indian Ocean area.

Luxe Asia, owned and operated by Ceylon Hotel Holdings, was founded in the year 2009 keeping in mind the large revenue that tourism sector amasses. It primarily focuses on tourists who visit Sri Lanka from all over the world and also handles tour packages to Maldives and Dubai.  It currently has a workforce of about 50 employees and offers selected variety of tour packages such as cultar, nature safari, ecology, adventure and shore excursion tours, and also offers cruise liners service and beach-stay programs.
