Bangalore: Thai based e-Commerce service provider, aCommerce raises $5 million in Series B round of funding. The bridge round was backed by Ardent Capital, Indonesian conglomerate Sinarmas and Inspire Ventures. Last year, the company had raised almost $10.7 million and currently, it is expecting a larger Series B round in the second half of 2015. The new investment will be utilized to expand its tech platforms and grow in Indonesia.
Founded in 2013 by Paul Srivorakul, the NTT Docomo backed logistics and commerce fulfillment firm that serves Southeast Asia, aCommerce provides e-Retail solutions including marketing solutions, channel management, cross-border management, tech development, warehousing and fulfillment, last-mile delivery and localized customer services. Expanding into the region, the company has partnered with global brands such as Kiehl’s, Maybelline, Samsung, LINE, Lazada and many more.
Speaking about the funding, Paul Srivorakul, CEO, aCommerce says, “aCommerce’s regional revenue has increased by 700 to 800 percent over the past year. We are getting momentum, so internal investors wanted to focus on growing the business in order to raise a bigger (Series B) round. We’re thinking about how much value we can add over the next eight to nine months (before the Series B)”.
