Taxi Service Providers Continue To Raise Funds; MyTaxiIndia Secures $500,000 Funding

Bengaluru: MyTaxiIndia, a New Delhi-based online taxi service, raises $500,000 in Series A funding round from Japanese travel giant Nihon Kotsu Travel Service. The company plans to increase the efficiency of its technology platform and add more vehicles to its fleet using the freshly raised capital. Prior to this, the company had raised $100,000 in a seed round from Gurgaon-based Green House Ventures in June this year.

Founded in 2012 by Anshuman Mihir, Satyakam Rahul and Mohit Rajpal, a travel e-Commerce specialist, MyTaxiIndia offers its customers a wide variety of Chauffer-driven services to fulfill all personal and business requirements at a very reasonable price. Bookings can be made by logging onto the company’s website, calling its 24x7 customer care centre or by walking into any of the lounges across India. It also offers bus rental services for local and outstation uses.

Currently, the company has an ambit of over 4000 taxis and offers its services in 200 different cities across India. It also plans to expand its business to 25 more cities by the end of this year.
