Bengaluru: GREX, a Pune-based alternate investment platform, raises Rs.4 crore in its funding round from Snapdeal Co-Founder, Kunal Bahl and Chandru Badrinarayanan (Executive Director at MSCI) for an undisclosed stake in the company. The company will utilize the funds to enhance its technological offerings so as to develop new financial products and add more additional features to its information sharing and transaction platform, which is all set to go public next month.

GREX is the venture of Manish Kumar, Abhijeet Bhandari, Surojit Nandy and Sanjay Nishank who founded the company in 2012. The innovative financial organization enables the private individuals to invest in startups and other unlisted companies. It mainly focuses on developing solutions that merge high finances with high technology. Currently, the company has enrolled over 200 startups and 150 investors on its platform and plans to add more of them in the days to come.

Companies who seek out to raise funds through GREX, dematerialize their shareholding. Once a company is enrolled on the platform, the investors can closely observe, scrutinize and select the companies of their interest to invest in. The size of each capital would be Rs.5-10 lakh and the companies can also raise multiple funding rounds on GREX.
