Bangalore: California based global cloud computing company Salesforce.com acquires smart calendar app Tempo Al. As per the acquisition details, Tempo team will join Salesforce. The app will no longer accept new users and will shut down on June 30. However, the calendar app is still open to existing users. On the other hand, the terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
Incorporated in 2011 by mobile veteran – Raj Singh, Tempo AI develops Tempo Smart Calendar for iPhone, Android, Gmail, Web, IOT and more for the mobile business professional since 2013 as part of a budding trend of ‘smart assistant’. Tempo is mobile apps for email and calendars, which provide helpful information and ideas to users. Incubated at SRI International, the company had raised $10 million funding from its existing investors including Eniac Ventures, Golden Venture Partners, Mayfield Fund, Horizon Ventures, Miramar Venture Partners, Seavest Capital Partners, Sierra Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Relay Ventures, SingTel Innov8 and SRI International in 2013.
Speaking about the deal, the Tempo AI team says, “Joining the Salesforce family will give us the opportunity to continue our mission at a much larger scale. People who paid for the iOS app can request a refund through Apple’s App Store”.
