Samsung Invests $25M in a Display Firm

One of the largest companies all over the world; Samsung, funded Intellectual Keystone Technology (IKT) firm, with $25 million. This step was taken because; Samsung launched a firm to support its display patents. The firm which was launched is based in Washington, reports Venture Beat.

As one of the leading company for its display screens apart from their devices, the company is trying to safeguard its patent right. Earlier there was a tiff with LG, saying that the company had stolen one of Samsung’s ideas for the display of other smart phones.

“Samsung recently established IKT. Patents are a good source of innovation and we also need to protect our intellectual property by strengthening our patent-related business,” said a Samsung Display spokesperson told the Korea Times, reports VB.

The primary motive of the company is to strengthen its OLED patents. Therefore IKT has roped in some of the leading patents for display in the Industry.
