Bangalore: Pune based online travel planner, Triphobo raises $3 Million in Series B round of funding from Mayfield along with existing investor, Kalaari Capital. The firm will utilize the fund in investment in R&D‚ talent acquisition‚ scaling content and technology upgradation. The company had raised its Series A funding close to a million dollars.
Formerly known as JoGuru‚ the firm Triphobo was founded in 2012 by three marketing MBAs – Praveen Kumar‚ Saket Newaskar and Karthik Ramachandra. Since inception, Triphobo has been endeavoring to transform travel experience by making travel more sharable and personally tailored, than anyone could have ever dream. With the help of technology, the company expanded its reach by offering users content which enables travelers to choose where they want to travel and suggest attractions.
Today, Triphobo is home to more than 70‚000 user created itineraries and has more than 400 curated contents to top tourist cities. In addition, the firm also provides planning related information for over 50‚000 points of interest that assist users in travel planning.
