Bengaluru: Bluestone, the Bengaluru based online jewellery startup raises Rs.100 crore in its Series C round of funding led by IvyCap Ventures, Accel Partners and Dragoneer Investment Group. Existing investors Kalaari Capital and Saama Capital also participated in the round, while the Avendus Capital became the sole advisor to Bluestone on this deal. The company will utilize the funds to expand their areas of operation and to improve their marketing strategies.
Founded in 2011 by IIT graduates Gaurav Singh Kushwaha and Vidya Nataraj, Bluestone is an online jewellery store that houses high quality jewellery and accessories with exclusive designs. It offers unique shopping experience at affordable rates. Bluestone offers a wide range of jewellery from manufacturing to e-tailing. It has a just-in-time manufacturing model where the jewellery is manufactured within 3-4 days after the order is placed. The company also claims to have a catalog of 70,000 pieces of jewellery and a collection of about 25000 unique designs.
