Bengaluru: Meragrocer, the New Delhi based online grocery shopping portal, plans to raise $10 Million in its second round of funding. The company aims to utilize the funds to expand its operations to new cities that include Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chandigarh. Previously, the startup had raised $7 Million (Rs.45 Crore) in a round led by CCube, BCCL and other personal networks.
Founded in 2011 by Saurabh Chadha and Manoj Kumar, Meragrocer is India’s pioneer online shopping store for day-to-day household needs. With over 5000 products from 500 brands in its offerings’ portfolio, the platform offers the customers a wide range of products ranging from fruits, vegetables and spices to personal care products. The customers can purchase the desired products by simply selecting and adding the items to meragrocer.com cart. Also, the offerings include products not just from India, but from other countries also. Currently, the company operates in Gurgaon, East Delhi, South Delhi and Dwarka, and is planning to expand to other cities, including Bengaluru and Chennai, in the next three months.
