Online Education Platform Meritnation Raises Rs.25 Crore in Fresh Round of Funding

Bangalore: An online education startup Meritnation raises Rs.25 crore in fresh round of funding led by existing investor Info Edge India Ltd. The fund will be utilized to improve its technological offerings, hiring IITians teachers and enlarge broadcasting studios. Combining all its funding, company today claims to have almost Rs.96.5 crore.

Founded in 2007 by Pavan Chauhan, is an online education portal that provides interactive study material for first standard student to twelve standards for CBSE, ICSE, Maharashtra (MSBSHSE), Karnataka (KSEEB) and Tamil Nadu boards. The firm offers a complete package of intricate multimedia tutorials, interactive exercises, practice tests and expert help in order to make school students to score easily.
Powered by 14000 plus Animated videos, Unlimited Tests, Homework Help forums, Interactive Exercises study program, Meritnation claims to have 90 lakh students from CBSE, ICSE and other leading boards across India and the Gulf on its online platform. The firm provides free NCERT solutions, subject-wise synopses and chapter-wise revision notes. It also prepares for competitive exams such as JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, PMT/AIPMT/State PMTs, CPT, BBA, NDA and Hotel Management.
