Bangalore: Software defined Datacenter operations simplified startup, Arkin Net raises $ 15 million in series B round of funding from Nexus Venture Partners along with industry veterans including B.V. Jagadeesh – Ex-CEO, NetScaler. As per the deal, Jishnu Bhattacharjee – Managing Director, Nexus Venture Partners will join the company’s board. The company will utilize the funding to hire employees and scale up its operations. On the other hand, the company had also raised $7 million in series A round of funding led by Nexus Venture along with investors including B.V. Jagadeesh, Alan Cohen – Chief Commercial Officer, Illumio and Semil Shah – Haystack Fund.
Founded in 2013 by Shiv Agarwal, Mukul Gupta, Rohit Toshniwal and Abhijit Sharma, Arkin Net is a cloud service company for software defined data centres (SDDC). The company allows its customers to examine, share and collaborate operational data across virtual and physical infrastructure layers. Today, the firm develops software defined networking operations platform which helps enterprises manage their data centre operations.
Expanding its reach, the Pune and Silicon Valley based startup Arkin Net claims to create ‘Google Search-like simplicity’ and ‘Pinterest like sharing capabilities’ software for data across physical and virtual data centres. The firm also claims to support technologies including VMware NSX, Cisco UCS, VCE Vblocks, Palo Alto Networks firewalls and many more.
