Bangalore: Mumbai based mobile platform startup - Doormint which provides a home based consumer utility services raises an undisclosed amount of Angel round funding. The round was led by Powai Lake Ventures and Doormint is in talks with VCs to raise its next round of funding in coming days. The startup plans to utilize the raised funds to expand its service area and service categories by including varied range of services like laundry and many others on its platform and to further its work force.
Doormint was started in 2014 by three ex IITians - Naman Lahoty, Abinav Agarwal and Piyush Ranjan. Since inception, Doormint aims to add value to the customer services by offering a hassle free, punctual and transparent utility customer services at their doorstep. In addition, Doormint has launched its app for Android and iOS users to offer services like demand electrician, plumber, carpenter, pest control and electronics appliance repair.
Currently, Doormint has a team of 13 members and anticipated to increase about 40 by next three months. By offering an integrated technology services, the startup claims 56-60 bookings in a day and aims to attain 1000 transactions per day in its nearest future. It offers services in the localities like Powai, Andheri, Chandivali, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Mulund, Bhandup and many others in Mumbai.
Doormint has a vision to turn into a one stop solution for hyper local consumer services. Its directly competing with Taskbob, TimeSaverz, UrbanClap, Amazon, Thumtack and many others in the same segment.
