Bangalore: Newton based medical healthcare startup LifeImage raises $17.5 million in a fresh funding round led by Cambia Health Solutions. The funding round also witnessed participation from its existing investors including Cardinal Partners, Galen Partners, Long River Ventures, Mass Ventures and Partners Innovation Fund. The fund will be utilized to expand medical network for the company's customers, improve its capabilities and execute on market strategy.
Founded in 2008 by Hamid Tabatabaie, LifeImage offers a solution to access and share patient imaging information for patients, physicians and healthcare institutions. It offers a universal imaging inbox for e-Sharing of diagnostic imaging information which includes images and reports, and provides hospitals and physician groups with a tool to view, store and share the contents of patient CDs in a healthcare enterprise.
Expanding its reach, the firm claims to work with 120 multi-site health systems along with academic medical centers, pediatric facilities, certified trauma centers and oncology centers. Today, the firm has customers who cover Cedars Sinai Medical Center, City of Hope, Children’s Hospital of Orange County and many more.
