Video sharing startup, Justin Tv has raised $ 8.3 million in the venture round of funding. This round of funding was led by Bessemer Ventures, Alsop Louie Ventures and Thrive Capital. The company has also intended $20 million of funding, to take place in the future, reports as Rebecca Grant of VentureBeat.
The company was founded in 2007, by Justin Kan, Emmet Shear, Michael Seibel, and Kyle Vogt. The company was a video attention puller and it became a popular channel where people can share their videos online. The online community developed a mass appeal over time; where customized channels are like made for animals, entertainment, science and technology, news and events, and sports.
The startup is also launched a mobile video app where one can upload, download or share videos easily and it is accessible to everyone.The app also gained awesome publicity, witnessing around 50,000 downloads more in a day. Based in San Francisco; the company has raised $24 million till date.
