Jitendra Gupta Invests $100,000 in Social Networking App Voxweb

Bengaluru: Jitendra Gupta, the Co-Founder & MD of leading payment solutions company – Citrus Pay, has led a $100,000 seed funding in a Mumbai-based social networking app VoxWeb. The company plans to utilize the freshly raised capital to strengthen its business expansion strategies.

VoxWeb, owned and operated by VoxWeb Pvt. Ltd., was founded in 2014 by Yash Mishra, an IIT-Kanpur graduate. The mobile application enables the users to attach an audio clip of their choice to the images captured on their smartphones and the maximum duration of a voice clip that can be attached is 11 seconds. It also has a social networking feature called ‘Life’, through which the users can build their own network and share their images with other users.
 
The company’s mobile app is available on both Android and iOS platforms which were launched recently. The startup currently has its presence in India, Europe and U.S., and is planning to launch its mobile app in South Korea, Japan and Africa in next 6-8 weeks.
