Bengaluru: InMobi, world’s most powerful ad discovery platform has unveiled Miip, a user-first discovery platform for Indian consumers. This revolutionary platform will guide new mobile shopping experience through discovery-led commerce (d-Commerce). Leading mobile wallet Paytm and e-Commerce giant Amazon have signed up for Miip platform to help it reach 120 million users and create over five billion discovery sessions in India every month.
Speaking on the launch of Miip, Naveen Tewari, Founder & CEO, InMobi says, “Miip will usher a new era of discovery-commerce (d-Commerce) to Indian mobile users through these next-generation shopping experiences. Today, merchants both large and small are having a tough time getting users to discover and explore their products. Miip will create personalized shopping experiences to enable discovery of products from more merchants. We believe d-Commerce through Miip can drive up to 80 percent of new product discoveries for merchants and aspire to enable almost 50 percent of mobile transactions for mobile commerce merchants in the country within the next 12-24 months”.
InMobi is likely to drive mobile commerce in a large way through partnerships with leading e-Commerce merchants leveraging Miip’s ability to abet serendipitous discovery of products across thousands of native mobile apps.

Miip is expected to facilitate seamless payments and checkouts within the discovery sessions through personalised products to users. Through partnership with Paytm, it will enable a ‘Buy with Paytm’ button for purchases and personalised shopping experience.

Miip will sanction each app developer to create the right experience in a custom manner through a disruptive platform to monetize by creating contextualized product and app discovery experiment. It will soon be launched in beta version with several partners including Amazon, Magzter, Moneyview, Nestaway, Paytm, Shopclues, Swiggy, Urban Ladder, Voxpop, Wooplr and Zimmber.
