Indonesian B2B marketplace Ralali Raises $2.5 Million from Japanese Investors

Bangalore: Indonesia based B2B online marketplace for maintenance, repair and operational (MRO) products company, Ralali raises $2.5 million in series A funding from Japan-based BEENOS Plaza and Cyber Agent Ventures. East Ventures (EV) and an unnamed angel, the existing investors of Ralali, were also present during the round. The company will utilize the funds to fulfill its vision of becoming the largest maintenance, repair and operations for a business marketplace in Indonesia. Ralali had received the first funding from East Ventures around mid-last year.

Founded in 2013 by Joseph Aditya, Ralali is an industrial online store that acts as a medium between buyers and sellers, allowing the procurement process to be more simple and transparent. It attempts to educate the players in the equipment industry-procurement business in terms of availability of new technology which may help their business as a whole.
The company claims to have over 300,000 visitors every month, out of which more than 50 percent of the people were accessing the services of the company through their mobile phones. Ralali offers 700 product categories ranging from abrasive and finishing products to medical and laboratory supplies. It also offers cleaning tools, janitorial supplies, safety equipment and many more.
