India's First Women Centric Video Portal Glamrs Raises Pre-Series A Funding

Bangalore: Mumbai based online video portal for women’s fashion, beauty & lifestyle, Glamrs raises Rs. 6 crore in pre-series A round of funding led by Ventureworks India. The funding round was also participated by the investors, including Blume Ventures and Nikunj Jhaveri – Founder, System Plus Group and many more. As part of the deal, Keshav Sanghi – Founder, Ventureworks India and Goldman Sachs’ ex-Managing Director will join the company’s board.

Owned and operated by Newgen Internet Networks, Glamrs will utilize the funding to scale up the company’s content team and build key data analytics. The company also expects to deploy the funds to strengthen the technology and mobile platform for videos.

Founded in 2012 by angel investor – Naveen Lal Sadarangani, Zubin Sarkari and Shanel Chellaram, Glamrs is the ultimate destination for all beauty, style and health related things. Firmly focused on the modern Indian woman, the portal provides reviews, expert tips, ratings, how-to videos, demos and features created by its experts concerning makeup, style, nutrition, fitness and many more.
