Helion Venture Pumps in $30 Million in Big Data Analytics Firm Axtria

Bengaluru: Axtria, the U.S.-based big data analytics firm, raises $30 million in its Series C round led by Helion Venture along with Silicon Valley venture capitalist ‘Desh’ Deshpande. Existing investors Amar Sawhney, Rick Braddock and Fred Khosravi also participated in the round. The company will utilize the funds to increase its workforce by hiring new talents, improve its sales and marketing strategies and expand its areas of operation to other geographical locales. As a part of the deal, Sanjeev Aggarwal, Co-founder and Managing Director of Helion will also be joining the company’s board.

Founded in 2010 by Jassi Chadha and Navi Chadha, Axtria is a Big Data Analytics software and services company that enables customers to transform their business with data and analytics. It combines industry knowledge, analytics, and technology to help the clients increase their performance in sales, marketing, customer, revenue, risk and supply chain management.

Axtria currently caters to over 60 clients (primarily based in the U.S.) from various fields like LifeSciences, Healthcare, Banking, Financial Services, Retail, CPG and High Tech verticals, and claims to have 10,000 users for its cloud-based applications.
