Goodservice Nabs $1.6 Million Funding to Provide Good Service Through Chat

Bangalore: Goodservice, a Mumbai based on-demand concierge app that helps the people get what they want, raises $1.6 million in seed round of funding led by Sequoia Capital. The company intends to utilize the funds to develop their technology and to expand their areas of operation to other cities.
 
Founded in 2014 by Vipul Aggarwal and Ruchir Jain, Goodservice offers its customers a single platform to get anything done on chat. Using the Goodservice app the users can chat with a Goodservice agent who understands the user’s requirement and assists them get exactly what they need at the best price. It is a one-stop solution for anything and everything the user needs, from electricians, plumbers, dance and art classes, caterers and photographers to small errands like courier services and printing; Goodservice provides it all. The user has to type in the request in the chat window and a member from the customer team would reply and give the recommendations. It offers a 24 hour service with a promise of never saying NO to any legal request made by the user.
 
Goodservice app is available only on Android right now. An iOS version of the app will be released in the next couple of weeks. Currently, the company offers its services only to the customers in Delhi and NCR and is also planning to expand its area of operation to other metros also. The company claims to offer solutions to requests worth more than Rs.30 Lakhs in a day through its recently launched app.
