Bangalore: Bangalore based fashion e-Commerce company Eat.Shop.Love raises Rs.22 crore in angel funding from a London based investor. The fund will be utilized for hiring design team and also for setting up manufacturing units in order to expand its brand name in Delhi and Mumbai. The company had raised $1 millions in a seed funding last year. Concerning the deal, former head of online housing company CommonFloor has joined as co-founder of the company and Achyutha Sharma, a designer-entrepreneur will work as head of brand and marketing.
Incorporated in 2014 by Oindrila Sengupta, Eat.Shop.Love is an online portal centered on urban women who enjoy the self-rule of choosing their own lifestyle. The company showcases women’s outfits, accessories, shoes and many more additional lifestyle products. The company creates an exclusive brand with its in-house designers. Today, Eat.Shop.Love claims to carry out 175-200 orders a day with standard cost of Rs. 900. The company is expecting to double the order volume by the end of this year and willing to provide 24-hours delivery soon.
Recently, the company is rearing up to launch an initiative from handicraft entrepreneurs’ industry called ‘Earthmade’. The collection will hearten the product lines which will include handmade soaps, terracotta jewellery and handmade packaging papers.
