e-Commerce Furniture Startup Livspace Secures $8 Million Funding

Bengaluru: The competition among the startups in furniture and home décor space continues as Livspace, an e-Commerce furniture startup, raises $8 million in a fresh funding round led by its existing investors Helion Ventures Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and Jungle Ventures. The startup intends to expand its business operations to all major metros across India and improve its technological offerings using the freshly raised capital. It also plans to hire C-Suite executives and build more mobile and design-focused products in the days to come.

Prior to this, the company had raised $4.6 million in Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture and Helion Ventures. It had also acquired – a curated network of interior designers and home furnishing stores and DezignUp – e-Commerce home décor portal, in May and April this year respectively.

Founded in 2014 by Shagufta Anurag, a BMSIT graduate and the IIT-Kanpur duo of Anuj Srivastava and Ramakant Sharma, LivSpace enables the users to customize and design their dream homes with furnitures according to their preference. It also has a list of exquisite designs sketched by experts on their portal. Currently, the company has 30-40 designers in Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, with at least three or four installation partners in each city.
