Bengaluru: SuperAwesome, a UK-based digital marketing company raises $7 million in its Series A round of funding led by Twenty Ten Capital. Angel investors like Henry Chamberlain, Jamie Kirkwood of IBIS TMT and existing investors Hoxton Ventures also participated in the round. The company plans to utilize the funds to increase the staff count of its team in North America and to support its aggressive business expansion plans in Southeast Asia.
Founded in 2013 by Dylan Collins, an active investor and advisor for kids’ media and technology companies, SuperAwesome is the leader in kids’ ad platform across the world. It is used by many top consumer brands to safely reach over 200 million kids each month. It delivers children-friendly advertising for family brands and has also launched Kids Web Services (KWS), offering cloud-based tools to help the companies manage new data privacy requirements.
SuperAwesome had recently launched its mobile based ad server which the company claims to be compliant with the U.S. kids’ protection laws and also the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This ad server can be used by the app developers and publishers for kids’ apps to run potentially safe ads from SuperAwesome’s kid brand partner brands which include Lego, Hasbro and Warner Bros.
