Dental Healthcare Chain Mydentist Raises Funds to Make More People Smile

Bangalore: Mumbai based dental healthcare clinic chain, Mydentist raises a Series C round of funding of Rs.50 Crore from LGT Group, the Asset Management group and the private banking arm of the Princely House of Liechtenstein which invested Rs.40 crore in this latest round. Existing investors Asian Healthcare Fund (Rs.3 crore) and Seedfund (Rs.7 crore) also participated in the round. Earlier the company had raised Rs.50 crore in 2013 and early stage funds in 2011. The company will utilize the funds to expand its areas of operation to new cities across the country.
 
Founded in 2009 by Vikram Vora, Mydentist aims to take dental care to the non-affluent class of the society by offering them high-quality treatments at very reasonable rates. The company has also made tie-ups with different banks to offer EMI facility for high-cost treatments. Currently the company offers treatments in different areas like x-ray, root-canal, teeth extraction, scaling, bleaching, crowns/caps, dental implants and other dental treatments.

Speaking about the new advancement, Vikram Vora, Promoter & CEO, Mydentist says, “In the past few years, we have been successful in consolidating our position as leaders in dental clinic services. The new funding will be used to expand our base to new cities and reach out to a much larger customer base across India”.

Mydentist currently has 103 clinics spread across Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Surat and has a team of over 500 dentists. The company also claims to have a total patient count of over three lakh.
