With plans to get itself expanded into markets in Europe this year, the startup company Anaplan has recently acquired Vue Analytics. The startup mainly deals with businesses by providing them a cloud based solution thus aiding them in the planning and modeling of their sales, finance and other operations.
The amount that lies behind the acquisition has not yet been made known. The startup will now have its European headquarters in Paris, with Laurent Lefouet, the former COO of SAP heading the company here. He’s said to bring “over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and international sales executive”, as reported by Techcrunch.
Lefouet has also been a part of Business Objects Global, having held various roles in International Management.
Users using the startup’s platform can get their businesses modeled, insights derived, operations aligned, and processes executed in a single platform apart from being able to come up with better decisions through collaboration. In this way, business can thus get their expenses reduced, margins improved and growth accelerated.
The startup’s clients in Europe include figures like Premier Farnell plc and Taylor Wimpey plc, apart from firms in France, Russia and the Czech Republic. Its clients in North America include names like HealthTrust, Pandora and McAfee.
The startup has recently been backed by two firms namely Shasta Ventures and Granite Ventures and has reached a total funding of 17.5 million.
