Bengaluru: Noodle Play, a Mumbai-based Chinese food delivery startup is in talks with unnamed investors to raise Rs.15 crore in the next six months. The company seeks to enhance its technological offerings and expand its business operations to new metros and tier-I cities in India using the to-be-raised capital. Prior to this, the company had raised $16,000 seed funding from Ambarish Ray (Director, Metal Communication), Elliot Stechman (MD, EK Wireless) and Gautam Sinha (Co-Founder, myfirstcheque) last month.
Noodle Play, owned and operated by Lollipop Foods Pvt. Ltd., was founded in 2015 by Nitesh Bhatia, a foodie and a serial entrepreneur. The users can visit the company’s website, select a food item of their interest from a wide variety of Chinese foods listed in their menu and get it delivered on their doorstep.
Currently, the company offers its services across five different areas in Mumbai and also has tied up with local caterers who have paid commission on each order they fulfill. It is also planning to open 100 new delivery outlets across Mumbai and other cities by the end of 2016.
